First Name: Anton
Last Name: Greene
Age: 45
Date of Birth: Jan 6th, 2473
Height: 6’4
Weight: 240lb
Appearance: Anton is tall and dark skinned; his head is shaved or sometimes buzzed, with a short salt-and-pepper beard. Like his Indian father, his head is the only part of his body that is bald. He has the body of someone who was muscular most of his life, but recently has let working out slide. Several tattoos litter his wrists and legs - not quite a sleeve, but tastefully placed nonetheless. His favorite tattoo is one of Londinium’s skylines across his wrist. There is a long scar from the right side of his eye, over his ear and towards his neck.
He is often clean-cut, carefully manicured, he takes care in his appearance. His clothing is rarely worn out, it’s usually appearing of high quality materials.
Persuasion: Alliance/Neutral
Military Service: Alliance Military for nearly twenty years.
General Skills: He worked in intelligence in the military and continues to do so for the feds. He is intuitive and investigative, occasionally working as a spy during his military years. Knows some engineering, basic ship repair but nothing extensive. Basic combat and survival experience.
Talents: Anton can read people very well and has excellent investigative skills, he’s considered being a PI because of it. He has had lots of education and military training. He makes a mean saag paneer.
Flaws: Can be standoffish and too serious, he doesn’t appreciate frivolity much and can be a one-track mind when fixated on something. He also enjoys singing, but is truly awful at it. His father often said that if his shooting skills were like his singing, he would have shot each of his limbs off by now. He often has a “better than you” demeanor, given his intellectualism - and sometimes he secretly thinks he is better than you.
Personality Traits: Anton has always been a feet-on-the-ground type of person. He has a grounded, realistic approach to life - stability is important, he spent many years building savings and doesn’t trust frivolity. He enjoys the finer things in life, but doesn’t feel the need to show off. He’s comfortable in a small room as he is in a mansion. While not cold, he doesn’t come off warm. Standoffish is the word often used to describe him.
He can be bitter and mistrustful of most people. Anton’s seriousness is pretty unmistakable. When he does joke, it’s often deadpan. While a loner by circumstances, he craves community and partnership. Being a closed off person, many people would not suspect this of him, but he is very close with his family despite rarely seeing them these days. He isn’t quick to speak. But business is business, and his military years provided a hard and manipulative nature that he has no shame taking advantage of. Many people view him as extroverted.
Anton is pansexual, attracted to personality rather than physicality. He has a secret love of poetry, though doesn’t always understand it. He values his family and visits Londinium as often as he can, despite their slight distrust of his current life path. He has a lot of energy and drive, doesn’t sleep much.
History: Anton was born to two politicians in the Alliance’s government in New Cardiff, Londinium. His father was a military man, more traditional, whereas his mother was from a line of wealthy politicians - his father was more self-made, and his mother was somewhat of a blacksheep in her family as many women married rather than worked.
Anton, named after his grandfather, was close with his parents and it influenced him to follow his father’s footsteps - join the military, and continue serving your community as a politician. He joined the military in 2491 at age 18, and eventually served with the Alliance in the Unification War. He didn’t agree with everything the Alliance did, and wanted to change things from the inside out but ultimately supported Unification. He was trained initially as an engineer, but found his way into Intelligence a few years in - part of his duties at the beginning of the war was espionage.
Eventually, he was stationed on the I.A.V Cortez, and witnessed the destruction of the I.A.V. Alexander and its entire crew. Seeing the death of four thousand people at the hand of one officer attempting to end the war, Anton decided to leave the military. Unfortunately, his contract kept him there through the end of the Unification War, but it felt like torture. As soon as he could, he left the military.
In 2511, once the war ended, he went on a pilgrimage out on the Rim. He became part of a small farming community on Vishnu, lived there for five years before returning to the world.
Mid-year 2516, he returned home. Staying with his family while he considered what he wanted to do. By this time, he was in his early 40s. Unsure of what to do with his life, seeing his parent’s politics with new eyes, he decided becoming a senator wasn’t for him. He knew he wanted to be moving constantly.
At this point, he sympathized with the browncoats, but ultimately kept his allegiance to the Alliance. He enjoyed the idea of hunting criminals, and did his best to meter punishment to those committing less crimes like theivery. Using his own connections from the military, he found a position within the Interpol, assisting the feds but only as needed. He often has assisted with more espionage, working with corporations like Blue Sun as an intermediary for the Interpol. Still technically an officer, he enjoyed the benefits of employment and the freedom of an independent mercenary. Mostly.
When the announcement of Miranda and the Reavers was heard across the Verse, Anton’s waning faith in humanity as a whole, finally collapsed. His views on the world, while never optimistic, had fully jaded. Part of him wants to leave Interpol completely, despite enjoying his unique assignments, but the need for stability keep him on the payroll.
