I’ve changed a few small things around the board, only one of which really stands at out all, but they’re all more or less connected.
The Side Bar
The Setting to The Present Story
The side bar has been altered a bit. For starters I’ve changed “The Setting” box into “The Present Story”. Here I’ll do my best to keep it updated regularly so that it is a brief synopsis of where the story is and why it is there. This is mainly for new people coming to check the board out, but it’s a bit more useful then just an overview of the setting of Firefly I find.
The Chainless box
This the most obvious difference. Since I know it can be a bit difficult digging through the board to find exact information that people, especially in regards to the ship and the crew, I’ve changed the “Administration” box (Since it was essentially useless) into “The Chainless” box. It has 4 quick links, which each go to the data threads regarding the Chainless that have all previously been set up.
There is however a new thread I set up today which it links to and that “Crew of the Chainless”. Since we’re asked very frequently by new people who is on the crew and who does what, this thread is a very easy access to the crew, and by clicking on each individuals name you can find their profile.
In addition to the boxes, I've re sized the images in the various Chainless threads that were too big, and stretched the page, so now everything fits.
I've also included images of Jace's weapons to the 'Chainless Gun List' and added his applicable equipment to the 'Chainless Equipment'.
While on the topic of guns however, I wanted to mention that I went through and removed all the "Real Life" names of all the guns, and added 'futuristic' designations to them. That way we can keep things from breaking character even further.
Rules
A sub note has been added to the rules, which requires that translations to Chinese phrases be placed at the bottom of the post in which they are utilized. It is not a requirement to speak in Chinese, nor is it a requirement to translate if the character is speaking in a language that is not Chinese. - This measure is taken as the extreme majority of Firefly Rpers both on and off this site prefer it that way. Most of you already exercise this, but for future reference, it is now in the rules.
Hopefully these things will make things work that much better.
