Marcus brought the gun up as someone approached, but his jaw drapped when he saw who it was.
"V...." He sighed. "Off all the rocks to find me on, why this one?" He shook his head. "Forget it." He looked her up and down. "You got any spares? This one's a bit light for my taste." He held up the hold out pistol.
He wasn't going to complain about her presence here. She wasn't a reaver, and armed to boot. That was enough for the moment. "Oh, right. V. This is Teegan. Teegan, this is V." Introductions finished, he took another look around the area and then back at V.

Teegan
The sudden movement of someone coming toward there made Teegan nearly jump out of her skin. Seeing the person was human gave her her breath back. She furrowed her brow slightly as it seemed this chich knew her companion. She Eyed the woman, suspiciously at first, but gave her a nod.
The girl knew how to shoot, she wasn't going to complain about that. Catching the woman eyeing her flask she slipped it out of her boot and offered it too her. "need a pick me up?" She asked. Might as well make nice since this woman may be the thing that helps them not die. Even if she was super hot and made Teegan slightly insecure. But Teegan knew how to present herself and didn't flinch.
"I hope you're good at shooting because i only have two skills, and neither is shooting." She glanced around. "Nice day for a massacre eh?" She stated sarcastically. "Lets go. please" She pleaded looking at Marcus. She then looked at the woman. "Help us live and I'm sure there's a ride of this shit hole for you." She knew she could probably get virgil to take this woman, He was after all all too willing to pay a rediculous amount to keep her from getting her ass kicked back when they first met. He was a good guy who took care of people. She probably wouldn't even need to bat a lash at him... but she would... because any excuse is a good excuse.

"Help us live and I'm sure there's a ride of this shit hole for you."
Taking a quick swig from the flask, she handed back to Teegan, "Thanks Sweetheart, and gladly.." most of the reaver groups we're behind me, I might of lost them but I'm not sure"
Riena reaching into her pack she pulls out a Walther GSP, and hands it to Marcus. "From what I remember, with the way you hold your gun, this should be good"
Riena reloading her gun and adjusting her only two grenades left, smiled and looked down the road at the destruction left in the wake of the attack, "I'm thinking if we're quick and quiet, we can make it through" Looking to Marcus, "You can handle the front right?" and I'll take the rear", With a laugh, smiled at Teegan.

Teegan
Teegan grinned. She already loved this woman. She was rather impressed by her knowledge of guns. Smart and Hot? Practically unheard of where she was from. Taking her flask back she stole another swig and tugged it back.
Without missing a beat Teegan smirked, "Should I feel safer or should I worry about getting screwed?" She snickered slightly. They were going to get along nicely. She winked at her new BFF. "Enjoy the view back there because i'm just here as eye candy. " Thank god for a little bit of light humore even though now wasn't the time. Perhaps she was high on adreniline or had passed beyong terror back around to uphoria, but either way she wasn't thinking about dying at the moment.

Marcus took the new gun and eyed it up. It was probably a sports pistol originally, but someone had retooled it for .32 combat rounds. Good for Marcus. The thing was a weapon of precision. There was balance in it too.
The girls chatted and exchanged banter, and Teegan claimed herself as eye candy.
"Well now you can be pretty and dangerous." He handed her the side arm he'd lifted from the inn keeper's wife. "Five shots left. MAKE THEM COUNT. Only take em if you have to."
He checked the clip. Ten bullets. "Got any more clips?" He looked to V; hopeful. he was comfortable with this kind of gun, he just might survive now... having another person with gun training was a damn good thing too.

"Got any more clips?" Marcus said, Riena nodded and pulled out her two last clips that were wedged between her belt and her back, tossing one toward him, "I think we should get a move on" Screams were getting closer, and small pieces of building rock were falling from the sky, more likely than not to have come from explosions, the hair on the back of her neck stood on end.
"Which way are we heading? oh-noble leader" Riena chuckled, and then cleared her throat when his face didn't change and stayed serious.

The screams were coming from across the street and from where they'd come from. It'd was a good bet that the port might have more chaos, but getting there was still their best bet.
Marcus nodded in the general direction of the port. "To the Minerva." He said. He moved ahead, gun held at the ready as they moved forward.
The were maybe halfway there, maybe less, but he wasn't couldn't do much about it. The quick rest had been enough to take the pain off his wounds, but he needed a medic BAAAAD.
"Keep your eyes open..." he muttered, he was bleeding through the nail wounds, but they were clotting somewhat... ugh he'd need half a dozen tetanus shots from this.

Teegan
Teegan took the gun, happy to have something. She looked at it and replied at his comment about how many shots she had. "Four.." She corrected and looked at him. "The fifth ones for me if they catch up." She took in a deep breath not wanting that thought back in her head.
"Yeah lets go." She said following Marcus, being ever vigilant at her post as lookout. She found herself praying again, just in case this was God here sending her help. Hell if there was a God she sure wouldn't mind a little divine intervention. She tried to calm herself with thoughts of being safe back on the Minerva, with a big bottle of whiskey to herself and perhaps a warm body next to hers. If she lived she wasn't picky as to who that would be.

Rienna Stone
Somehow the air became colder, or maybe it was the blood running away from her limbs she could feel her legs burning, her wound on her back needed to be taken care of soon, she hadn't been able to fully rest in the past couple days, being on the run. "Reavers, just what she needed" Riena thought to herself. Hopefully these two would be her golden key to freedom, and rest. She could tell she could trust Teegan, but Marcus....he was a different story.. but for now she would have to.

Marcus just shook his head as he moved forward, but suddenly, something was wrong. The pain in his leg spiked for a moment before a wave of cold swept over it. For a moment Marcus wobbled before he realized what was going on.
"OH DAMNIT." He swore, just before he began to fall. He clicked the safety on for his gun, before falling to the ground.
He swore as he hit the dirt, He Rolled himself onto his back and started to check his leg. It was cold, and as best as he could guess, entirely numb. "DOn't you DARE go gangrene on me..." He swore.
He looked between the two ladies and sighed. "Somebody wanna help me up?" He grumbled.
He offered his left hand up, since trying to get up on his right side wouldn't do anything for this situation.

Teegan
Teegan was horrified by Marcus suddently falling, for a moment she thought he'd been shot or something. Quickly she squatted down to help the man up. She did so gingerly, as she didn't want to cause him any pain. But the only thing in her mind at that moment was how in Gods name they were actually going to get out of this. He was hurt bad, bad enough to take him down. With everything going on she was concerned something had heard his cries and would come to check it out. But then perhaps it would be lost amongst the rest of the screams.
"Damnit Marcus." She said as she helped him back to his feet. She looked him in the eyes. "You need a doctor..." She pushed him to sit on a nearby crate pulling up his pant leg to see his leg, she hadn't gotten a good look before. She did so as quickly as possible as she didn't want to be caught out there. She was of course in over her head but she'd wrapped a wound or two. But she wasn't entirely sure at to what to do with it.
For a moment she looked up at her two companions hoping someone had an idea. It was obvious by her quiet concern how bad it looked, to her anyway. She drew in a shakey breath, they were going to die. Instant survival instinct took over and the first thing it said was to ditch the gimp. He would draw attention and slow them down.
"How long do you really think you can keep forcing this leg to work when it can't?" She said with a bit of a 'stupid boys' tone. But after their fluzzy moment back in the alley, she wasn't going to leave him behind. Standing again she pulled him to his feet.
"Cant you walk?" She asked in all seriousness, and was willing to make herself a crutch if need be.

Rienna Stone
The sight of him falling to the ground, stiff like a board brought a little chuckle to Riena's lips, but quickly vanished when she realized he was really hurting. "oh..why are- Marcus!"
Her face contorted with concern when Teegan helped him to his feet, She could tell they were close. A slight pang of jealously shot through her veins, not of their closeness but the camaraderie they shared, wishing she could feel the same.
"He really,....really needs a doctor" she spoke with hushed tones as she stepped closer to him offering her shoulder. Her body slightly rigid, as she wrapped her arm around his middle. The last time she was this close to him it was a very different situation, she thought to herself with a smile.
"I'm sure us ladies can get you there...." Looking at Teegan, smiled and said, "In one piece, I'm not so sure.....but there nonetheless"

Marcus just sighed at the girls' reactions. "Let's just beat on the dead man" He let Teegan help him, His dude hung limp and dragged as he checked to make sure the gun hadn't been damaged by the fall. "Well shit."
"I don't think I could stand a run... we need to get to the Minerva before this becomes the end of a bad Cortex B-Vid." He looked to the woman holding him up.
"Let's keep going, 'Private'." He laughed, taking the safety off of the the pistol.

Teegan
Teegan looked at him, "Alright, lets get out of here gimpy." She said with an ever so slight smirk. Helping akwardly she held her gun as the ready hoping that, that survival instinct would kick in and help her be a bit more helpful. She scanned the area grateful that so far they were going unnoticed.
"I'm starting to remember why I never traveled much." She said dryly. "I sure would rather be on fire right now..." She said with slight refferance to the converstation she and marcus had had earlier. "I'll take lighter fluid over reavers anyday."
Oh how she wished she'd just stayed on the ship today, drinking. At least she'd be there and more or less safe. This was a bit of a wakeup call, no more wandering alone, and it was time to do all the things she said she was going to but had been putting off.

Law Tanner
Once Tanner realized that the voices he was hearing were not in his dreams, but the actual tortured screams of humans in immeasurable pain he snapped awake and crouched in the shadow of the doorway he had apparently blacked out in. Though he was working through the haze of a terrible hangover, it was easy to tell that this was not going to be the easy going day off he anticipated.
"I sure would rather be on fire right now..." was the first audible comment he heard. He peeked his head around the corner of the alcove in time to hear the end of the statement, "I'll take lighter fluid over Reavers any day." He questioned whether or not he was still dreaming.
His first instinct at seeing the injured man in the ally was to bolt from his hiding place to lend a hand, yet after a brief consideration of the fact that every member of this group was armed and terrified, he thought better to consider his options.
By time he felt the flash of cold from the nausea creeping up on him it was too late. There wasn't going to be much in him but bile, but that would be hard to tell through the sound of the heaving. His throat burned as the acid in his stomach came hurling through to splash on his boots, he wished he could puke quieter.
"So much for considering my options." He mumbled to himself in between spitting.

Rienna Stone
The vomiting rang in her ears, nothing could be worse to her senses at the moment then someone throwing up. Their now non existent lunch fuming the area. Covering her own mouth, thinking about it made her want to do the same. Readjusting her hold on Marcus she leaned him closer to Teegan hoping the young girl could hold his weight for a moment. Riena moved closer and aimed her rifle towards the direction of the retching.
"Show yourself!"

Law Tanner
Law stepped out of the shadow of the alcove, wiping some spit from the corner of his mouth.
"My names Tanner, Law Tanner."
It wasnt the first time he had found himself looking down the barrel of a gun, but never by such an attractive woman. The thought brought a smile to his face, as he raised his hands above his head.
"I dont mean no harm..." Law looked to the injured man "...but i do believe if you dont find some help for your friend here soon, the harm thats gonna come down on ya aint gonna come from me." He turned his head at the sound of the impending screams. "What the hell is goin on here?"

Teegan
Teegan held onto Marcus tightly watching their new companion go all bad ass on who was ever spewing. Puke was just another fact of life to Teegan, she drank and did the same many a night and back home at the brothel it was as common as sex itself.
Teegan eyed the man, more help would not go unappreciated. "You got a gun?" She asked. She knew an able bodied man would be helpful especially if he could shoot. they needed all the help they could get. When he asked what was going on Teegan assumed the man was either drunk or had been passed out to have missed everything so far. "What he needs is to get the hell out of here and back to the ship. So you going to help or what?" She asked, she wasn't trying to be rude she was just eager to get the hell out of there. If this man wanted to help that was good, if not, let the reavers have him.
"Reavers... Just a cherry on top of this shit day sundae." She quipped dryly. "Also our number one reason for moving... now."

THe man who got out of the ditch seemed like someone coming off a hell of a hangover. Poor bastard. All the madness of the night AND a hangover. He was quite the unlucky sod.
"Reaver, Tanner. Hundreds of 'em."
He held up his gun and waved it at the man. "Get up and draw a piece if you've got it. We're heading for the port and the Dragonfly Minerva You want on, you gotta earn your keep."
He pointed in the general direction of the port with his gun. "Take point, if you're able and willing."

Rienna Stone
"Well, well looking who decided to give some direction" she prodded gently at his shoulder"...was thinking the Reavers might be too much for you Marcus" Riena smiled with a cat-like grin.
Leaning against a wall inching closer to the edge she let out a large sigh and peered around the corner, narrowing her eyes she scanned the wet ground. Glass bottles and wrappers dusted along the street tipped over trash cans. A slight breeze hovered around the corner her hair whipping around, paper rolling past her in a small swirl adding to the chill of the night.
"I'll go down a little further to check and see if it's clear" nodding to the group for a confirmation.
