Law Tanner
"Reavers huh?" it was impossible not to feel the doubt and sarcasm dripping heavily off of this question. He wasnt going to question the situation much further, as it sounded as if a job opportunity had somehow fallen into his lap, and there was no arguing with the fact that regardless of who was back there, it didnt seem they were bein' very nice to folks. It seemed as though he was in the company of some rather capable individuals, and that they had a way out of this mess, or at least a general direction as to a way out of this mess.
"As long as you keep that iron pointed in a general direction that's not mine, i think we could be in business" Law replied to the injured man with a smile as he took out his pistol and crept to the corner where Riena was surveying the scene.
"I'll go down a little further to check and see if its clear." Riena said, nodding to the group for confirmation.
"Ready when you are." Law responded with a nod of his own.

Teegan
Teegan eyed their newest addition, she hoped he wasn't going to be the sort to turn his gun on them and rob them. Because he certainly didn't look like he believed the situation. She wasn't going to argue. She just wanted to get out of there and back to her whiskey and eternally hot captain. It was amazing how near death caused one's sex drive to rev. She closed her eyes a moment wanting to will herself back.
"I'm ready. lets go." She said impatiently not waiting for marcus to give an order to move. She tried to support the man on her small frame, she tucked her gun in her belt so she could help him better. Now they had two people with guns to shoot, and she'd pull her gun out if the reavers got close.
"How're you doing?" She asked quietly to Marcus.

Marcus was glad the new man seemed to comply with the idea of grouping. It was for the best, after all. He wasn't too keen on them stretching the group too far though, more likely them getting spotted.
"Keep together," He mumbled. Letting Teegan help him forward. "Watch yer corners..." The pair followed after V, hopefully there wouldn't be anything on the main street to deal with just yet.
But they moved under the various awnings, and kept to the shadows of the buildings.
As the moved forward, Marcus had his gun at the side and ready.

Vykaar: Reaver
The group moved out and down the street. There was a hover vehicle which was smashed into one of the buildings, and nearly split in half. It’s former occupants still lay dead inside of it. There were several bodies on the ground, one of which is particularly cut up. There was fire off on in the distance on a building, which was moving towards another. Windows were smashed in, doors broken. It was rather quiet a moment, only the flames crackling were heard.
Suddenly the silence was broken, as on the roof of a building there stood a Reaver. His eyes beamed down at them with an carnal drive equal to that of a lion about to eat an antelope. He grunted and pointed and roared. Suddenly from an alley just in front of the group came two Reavers. And then from behind them, roared another Reaver. They were about thirty feet away each, but then the one on roof jumped off and began charging them as well. They held nothing but blunt and bladed objects, but charged as fast as they could towards the group of two men and two woman.

The howl of the Reaver had Marcus blinking away the pain of the moment. He saw it from atop the building, and could hear the growls of others. He let go of Teegan and spun himself to fall against the outer wall of the building they'd been moving beside. Both hands on the gun; he drew a bead on the reaver as it leapt from the wall.
He followed it down, even it would have to pause for gravity. And when it did, two shots. As it landed, the head and center mass would be in the same firing zone; if it kept getting up one more shot, straight at the face. The growls from his left caught his ear.
"Teegan, behind us!" He shouted. He was at war again. The sounds of skiffs above, the screams of the innocent caught in the crossfire. And the marauding horde.

Law Tanner
Unless it has truly happened, no one thinks that time will come. That moment when everything you have believed, everything you know to be right, and sane, your entire devotion to hate and revenge, crumbles into a heap of false hood and self-delusion, for Law Tanner, that moment is now.
"What the hell?" The words tumble out of a jaw in the state of complete dismay as Law raises his aim to the most horrific sounds he could never imagine, bursting from the maw of a creature to foul even for the sickest mind in The Verse.
Marcus fires off a few rounds as the creature leaps to the ground.
Law aims just past Marcus' target to one of the two beasts charging the group from in front of them. From 25 feet away it wasn't difficult for him to put two well placed bullets into the monster, the first in the throat, the second directly in the middle of the face.
"Teegan, behind us!" Marcus yells with the authority heard only in the voice of a seasoned veteran.

Rienna Stone
His voice shot through the night like a lightening bolt, sending waves of adrenaline through her veins.
"BEHIND US!"
She whipped her head round, eyes widening in fear, a reaver bounding it's way toward them. Ravenous, stained in blood and hungry....not for food, but for violence. She quieted a curse, withing seconds Marcus was firing shots two, one to the face and another to it's chest
Turning back to echo's of yelling and shots fired towards her front, she followed suit to Law's aim. Letting out a blood curdling yell bracing all her effort into holding her gun steady, fired to the lower abdomen and another to it's kneecap, chunks of skin and globs of blood splattered from it's body like a broken doll.

Teegan
Teegan froze momentarally in terror, before her legs gave out and she dove behind the nearest thing that might hide her. She was trembling uncontrolably. She drew in a couple of uneasy breaths before she dared to look. She couldn't sit there, she would be killed for sure. So mustering up all the courage she had left, which wasn't much, and calling on that survival instinct she relied on she poked herself out. On one knee she aimed her pistol and fired at one of the reavers.
She wasn't sure if she'd waisted a shot or not. "I am not dying like this. Not now." She told herself forcing herself to stand, take aim and fire off another shot. three shots left. She looked to the others. Two... she was pretty sure she was screwed so she saved that bullet she promised her for her own skull if needed.
She noted to herself that if she lived she needed to train with a gun.

Vykaar: Reaver
The Reavers closed in, there faces showing a fury that few had seen before. An animalistic aggression surging through them as they charge. But their charge seemed betray them as they ran into a hail of metal horizontal rain drops. Each of the creatures charging were struck multiple times and the portions of their body hit was thrust backward. It was a strange thing that the creatures didn’t seem to fully expect as they had been the ones who appeared to have set the trap. They were all struck, yet attempted to struggle through it. But they all seemed to fail, each collapsing after each was struck several times. When the shots ended, four of the barbaric creatures lay on the ground. The fire down the street appeared to have gotten worse. After the silence, there was more yelling and growling, though it wasn’t able to pinpointed where. There were more alleyways beside the group of people who had just killed the Reavers, but the sounds of the carnal tones continued.

Law Tanner
Law closed his eyes and shook his head working to make sense of what he had just seen, hoping that he would open them again to find that the bodies on the ground were not the mutilated monsters he didnt believe in, but perhaps a fancified costume meant for scarin ignorant folk or some such. The screaming in the distance mixed with the roaring of more Reavers and the smell of smoke and death proved him dead wrong. His eyes snapped open.
"Lets move." He said as he scanned the roofs of the buildings above him for more monsters. There would be plenty of time later to process what he just saw, but he was gonna have to be alive to do that.
With his pistol leading the way he moved with full awareness in the direction of the port.

Angelina Westcraft
Angie had woken to the sounds of screaming, blood curdling.... dream? No, these weren't in her nightmares, these were real. Grabbing her gun, she got dressed quickly and headed towards her window to look outside.
People were running and screaming but she couldn't tell what was going on. This was bad, though. The port the woman had to make her way to the port. Whatever was going on she needed to probably get the hell out of there.
She left in a hurry and ran down one alleyway into another, a noise of gun fire made her not stop but look behind her and then she turned around to see herself almost run into someone. Or more like a group of people. Two men, two woman.
Though one in particular caught her eye. "Oh, crap. Marcus?" It had been years and frankly she had never expected to see him again.

Marcus had been impressed with Teegan, her shots had been crazy, but the gun had done it's job. Easy rate of fire, decent spread of bullets. The fact that it was a reaver going down probably never crossed the gunsmith's mind.
Still he hoped whoever put that gun together the first time was better off then they were.
The fact that all the others were dead was inevitable. But still.... Not a bad moment of violence.
"By the powers, we got lucky. Next group won't be that small. Tanner, take point an--"
"Oh, crap. Marcus?" It took Marcus a moment to place the voice. It'd been near a decade, but there, running towards them with a gun in her hands, was the little grease monkey daughter of old man Westcraft.
"Hold fire." he managed, his jaw hanging down. Angel had grown up but GOOD. He shook it off as he laughed. "Great, just great," He laughed. "This is just god damn shiny. Teegan help me move." He reached out for the woman to help him up.
"Angel! Good to see you breathing. Wish it was somewhere else though. We got a ship in the port, Dragonfly called the Minerva. You want a ride?" It was a rhetorical question. really.
"Introductions later, LET'S MOVE." He didn't shout the order rather than hiss it. No sense adding any more noise to their position.

Rienna Stone
"Introductions later, LET'S MOVE." Marcus hissed, obviously he knew this woman. Keeping her gun in position to shoot, she watched the woman intently, noting to keep an eye on her.
Riena scoffed, dropped to her knee tightened her boot strap, and pulled her last clip from her belt. "better make this count" shoved her magazine into her gun with a loud click, she stood standing holding it up with her arm bent, ready to fire. "Yeah I agree, let's the hell out of here, before we need to protect anyone else." Riena swiftly passed Marcus her shoulder offsetting his balance slightly. "Let's get to the ship, and kill off every damn reaver that crosses our path"

Teegan
Teegan stood there shaking a bit shocked that she was staring at dead reavers and not dead comrades. She drew in a shakey breath trying to let it sink in that she was alive... for now.
She glanced at the new person who'd joined them, she was jumpy to say the least and her heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She watched this new woman with a furrowed brow. How on earth did Marcus know these people... and what were the chances of them running into him now. She wasn't going to dwell on silly thoughts and instead took the moment to put her mind somewhere else.
She didn't move again until she heard her name. Taking her position, with her gun tucked away, she put her arm around Marcus. "Jeez Marcus, do you know every bitch in the 'verse." She muttered, bitch being used in a casual way, not a threatening way. It was an old habit, every girl was a bitch when you lived in a whores world. wasn't even a bad thing.
She glanced the woman who had joined them. She wasn't upset at all for an extra body, perhaps this new woman could shoot too. And if not, well... all she had to do was be faster than this woman and she was standing a better chance of getting back. She wondered for a minute how Virgil would feel when they came back with so many strays. She highly doubted they'd be turned away, Virg wasn't the type.

Marcus was thankful for Teegan's assistance, but shrugged off V. "Tee's strong enough for this. Keep your aim steady and watch the roof for any more howlers." He checked the gun. Ten shot clip, three shots fired; "Seven and a fresh clip." Though the clip was in a hand separated by Teegan's body now, with the arm over her shoulders. He'd do what he did before to retain his balance.
Though there was an alley up ahead, and Marcus swallowed. "Tanner, check the corner. Angel, you cover the rear." He blinked and smirked at Teegan when she asked him about 'bitches in the 'Verse"
"I get around, what can I say?" He started forward, using Teegan as a crutch in the vaguest of senses. "Oh, this is really starting to hurt." He laughed in an almost sarcastic tone. He couldn't tell if he was still bleeding out at that point, but he wasn't in good shape, by far.

Vykaar: Reaver
A sudden rumbling was felt, and heard. This was unusual as it was a continuous heavy rolling. It gave way to the sounds of screeching metal, and scraping of materials against eachother at a heavy speed. It got really loud, and suddenly scraping just down the street, a massive ship slid through. It was completely ablaze as it smashed through buildings on one side of the street, finally slowed to a stop. Massive pieces of rubble and fire now took up the road ahead. The vessel, a large 7 deck ‘Ox Class Transport’ was split and broken. Over head a set of Reaver craft zoomed over. More would undoubtedly be coming soon, but the road ahead towards the dock was completely covered with rubble, metal, and fire. In order to traverse it would take precious time, which the group didn’t likely have.

Teegan
Teegan gave Marcus a skeptical look, "Hunny -I- get around. you..." She eyed his leg. "Just barely." She smiled a little hoping a bit of teasing could keep moral from hitting rock bottom. If there was one thing she was good at it was playing a role. After their akward start in the galley of the ship, she hadn't expected they'd become friends or even civil. She wasn't complaining. It was nice to have a friend... not a client.
As she passed the new woman she sized her up. She wasn't sure if they were going to hit it off the way Riena and her had. It was an amazing thing how woman could tell if they liked you in just a few seconds.
Teegan could feel the ground shaking under her feet and held tight to Marcus, True he was gimpy but she knew he wasn't a stranger to this kind of situation. She on the other hand was holding together but just barely. The scratching of metal and the falling of buildings made her tense.
"Please tell me this isn't happening." She muttered looking up at the sound of ships over head. "This is going to get bad isn't it?"

Angelina Westcraft
Angie heard Marcus tell her to cover the rear. The woman smiled slightly at being called Angel once again.
She quickly fell into position. Keeping her eyes on everything around her. The woman didn't bother to size up the people with her as long as she got out of this mess alive it didn't matter much. She wasn't really expecting to be able to stay with them.
Angie still didn't know what was going on but the screams were bad and it almost seemed like.... no....that wasn't possible was it?
The noises, it sounded like the world was ending. She heard one of the woman ask if it was going to get bad. Angie said nothing, it was bad and she figured would only get worse.

Marcus laughed as Teegan replied with a returning jab. He'd hoped she'd put a spin on that; it distracted him from the pain. Angel seemed to snap to and move to the back. Maybe she smiled, but there it was getting harder to see with each moment.
Suddenly there was a rumble all around. There was a horrible sound, a hellish grating sound; Something clicked in his mind and Marcus just shook his head.
"oh no...."
There was a crash as a building was shoved apart for the crashing ship.
"seriously?"
It slowed, leaving the burning rubble and debris in it's wake.
"You have GOT to be freaking KIDDING me....." He slouched. There were screams of craft over head, their half broken engines clearly reaver craft.
Teegan asked if this could truly be happening. Marcus just smiled at her. "I'm open to suggestions folks..." He pointed at the alley they were near. "But that dark and quiet corner looks like a good place to find a hole to crawl into... sewers leading to the port maybe?"
With his wound he was likely to get an infection. But a wheelchair was far step up from a reaver's dinner table.

Law Tanner
Tanner barely heard the running footsteps above the screaming and roaring fire. He pointed his gun in the direction it seemed to be coming from. He was relieved to realize it was not another beast.
"Holy crap...Marcus?"
Tanner quickly released his aim, and relaxed his finger from the trigger. He breathed a sigh of relief that he was aware enough to not fire on anything that moved. It was obvious that she knew the injured man, and given the situation he was glad to have another person with them. Given that she was carrying a gun, he figured she was capable and decided to wait on introductions.
"Tanner, check the corner" Marcus shouted.
He made his way to the corner of the ally and was just about to peek around it when he was distracted by a rumbling sound. The sound of tearing metal and smashing debris grabbed his attention as the ship crashed into buildings and bounced of the ground, sliding to a stop.
"So much for that way." he said with disappointment.
"Sewers leading to the port maybe." Marcus said pointing to a shadowed corner.
"Cross your fingers." Tanner responded as he moved to the corner to investigate.
